National Workshop on ‘Hands-on Training on Techniques used in Biotechnological Research’

                         Biotechnology (GOI), New Delhi



Applications are invited from teachers and research scholars of Life Sciences at colleges/universities/institutes for a National Workshop on ‘Hands-on Training on Techniques used in Biotechnological Research’ to be held during 28 February–12 March 2011 at North-Eastern Hill University, Shillong.




The programme will include techniques used in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology such as isolation of DNA and RNA; Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR), Reverse Transcriptase-PCR; gel electrophoresis, plasmid isolation and transformation; microbial, plant and animal cell/tissue culture, and bioinformatics.



The fee for the training is Rs 6000 for teachers and Rs 3000 for research scholars; the total number of participants would be limited to 20 only.
